Career Recognition Ambassador

Lead a Series. Help Women in Manufacturing Be Seen.

The Women’s Manufacturing Network (WMN) is a national, volunteer-led movement focused on increasing visibility for women in the manufacturing industry.

We spotlight the people, careers, and companies that keep manufacturing strong—especially the women whose stories too often go untold.

Now, we’re inviting volunteers to step into a key role as Career Recognition Ambassadors (CRAs)—leading one of our spotlight series and helping bring recognition to women in the field.

What is a Career Recognition Ambassador?

Each CRA leads one WMN spotlight series—like HR Leaders in Manufacturing, Made by Women, or What I Wish I Knew—and helps identify women and companies worth highlighting.

You don’t need to be a writer. You don’t need to design or produce polished content.

What matters is that you enjoy connecting with people in manufacturing—hearing their stories, learning from their journeys, and helping them get the recognition they deserve.

We’ll give you everything you need: outreach templates, interview questions, and a simple form to guide the story. This role is about people—and your genuine interest in the industry is what will make you successful.

What You'll Do

  • Choose a WMN spotlight series that speaks to you

  • Reach out to people in your network and invite them to be featured (templates provided)

  • Have real conversations about their manufacturing careers

  • Use a simple questionnaire to help shape their story (provided)

  • Help share their story on social media (mainly LinkedIn)

  • Help engage with WMN posts online (likes, comments, shares)

Time commitment: 2–4 hours/month
Location: Anywhere (fully remote)
Support from WMN: Full guidance, templates, and tools provided

What's in It for You?

  • Direct Access to Female Leaders – Hear real stories and gain insights from inspiring women in the field.

  • High-Value Networking – Build relationships with key industry professionals and companies.

  • National Visibility – Be recognized across the U.S. as a member of the Women’s Manufacturing Network.

  • A Leadership Role You Can Shape – Take initiative and help define how WMN grows.

  • Meaningful Work – Contribute to a mission that uplifts women and strengthens the manufacturing community.

  • Portfolio-Worthy Experience – Lead projects that you’ll be proud to showcase.

Pick a Series to Lead

We have 20+ sample content series here. Choose the one you want to lead—or propose your own! Each series can be built around a specific region, state, or industry. Volunteers can get creative, just as long as their work brings visibility to manufacturing and the women in it.

We will provide templates and questionnaires to help you write and put together your articles and save you time!
