Content Leads

Lead a Series. Help Women in Manufacturing Be Seen.

The Women’s Manufacturing Network (WMN) is a national, volunteer-led movement dedicated to increasing visibility for women in the manufacturing industry.

We create content that tells real stories, highlights real careers, and builds real community—especially for the women who power our factories, engineering teams, shop floors, and leadership roles.

We’re looking for volunteer Content Leads to take charge of specific storytelling series and bring them to life.

What Is a WMN Content Lead?

Each Content Lead owns one series—like Day in the Life, Made by Women, or Ask the Hiring Manager. You’ll guide it, reach out to participants, and create content to be published on our website and shared on LinkedIn and other social channels.

Eventually, some Content Leads may grow into Program Leads who oversee multiple series—but you’ll start by running just one. That’s how we keep it manageable and meaningful.

What You'll Do

  • Pick a WMN series that speaks to you

  • Do outreach to find people to feature (we provide message templates)

  • Write, co-write, or coordinate content submissions

  • Submit stories using a form or shared doc

  • Help engage with WMN posts online (likes, comments, shares)

Time commitment: 2–3 hours/week
Location: Anywhere (fully remote)
Support: We’ll give you all the tools you need to succeed

Pick a Series to Lead

We have 20+ sample content series here. Choose the one you want to lead—or propose your own! Each series can be built around a specific region, state, or industry. Volunteers can get creative, just as long as their work brings visibility to manufacturing and the women in it.

We will provide templates and questionnaires to help you write and put together your articles and save you time!
